2019 Book Bag Giveaway Event

We just finished our 2nd annual Bookbag Giveaway event to celebrate back to school and it was a huge success. We gave away over 100 book bags full of free school supplies to disadvantaged children in the Nashville community.

Our goal this year was simple, to bridge the gap between poverty and education. Unfortunately, 21.5% of children in Davidson County are below the federal poverty line. And we’ve made it our mission to support these children in the educational journey because they are our future. A typical backpack and school supplies can range from $35 to $70. For low income families. However, oftentimes there's not enough money left over for these basic school essentials and our children are left with inadequate supplies for their education. When these supplies are not available in the home, homework often goes undone. We at At Ease Moving hope to fill this gap. Literally…

We filled backpacks with school supplies and gave them away for free to over 100 children on Sunday, July 28, 2019.

The event was amazing. We received so many thank you’s and appreciative remarks. It’s an honor to serve our community in such a meaningful way. We sincerely appreciate all who participated from start to finish to bring this initiative to light. It was a beautiful day and the community came out in droves to get free school supplies, eat, and enjoy the day.
